Editorial Policy

This policy explains how RankPlot selects, researches, writes, reviews, updates, and corrects its editorial content.

Editorial Purpose

RankPlot helps WordPress site owners, small businesses, marketers, and international-trade teams compare hosting, themes, plugins, SEO tools, and website workflows. Each page should answer one clear decision and show the evidence and tradeoffs behind its conclusion.

Research and Claims

  • Controlled tests, hands-on checks, documentation research, and editorial judgments are labeled and kept distinct.
  • Hands-on experience, purchases, support contacts, usage periods, traffic, revenue, and performance results are claimed only when dated first-party evidence supports them.
  • Product versions, prices, plan limits, availability, and policies are treated as changeable and checked against current official sources when materially updated.
  • RankPlot does not invent customer experience, ratings, scarcity, discounts, or performance results.
  • Quotations and third-party findings are attributed; vendor marketing claims are not presented as RankPlot measurements.

The detailed evidence rules are published on How We Test.

Recommendations and Rankings

A recommendation must identify who an option fits, who it may not fit, and the important limitation. RankPlot does not sell ranking positions. When a numerical score appears, the page should disclose the criteria and whether the score is an editorial assessment or a measured result.

Commercial Separation

RankPlot may earn commissions from some outbound links. A merchant’s affiliate program, commission rate, or approval status does not purchase inclusion, a positive verdict, or a higher position. Commercial links should follow useful decision context and should not manufacture urgency. See the Affiliate Disclosure.

Corrections and Updates

Readers and companies can report a possible error through the contact page. A correction request should identify the URL, disputed statement, and supporting source. RankPlot evaluates the evidence, corrects material errors, and updates the visible review date when a page receives a substantive revision. A merchant does not control the final wording.

Authorship and Automated Assistance

Articles are published under the RankPlot Editorial Team identity. Research, drafting, analysis, or editing tools may assist the workflow, but publication still requires human review of sources, claims, links, dates, and page intent. Automated output is not accepted as evidence.
